Since her stint as Mikaela Banes in the megahit "Transformers" franchise, Megan Fox has had a tough time carving out her niche in Hollywood. But that could start to change with her latest move.
Judd Apatow has made a followup to "Knocked Up" which expands on the Pete (Paul Rudd) and Debbie (Leslie Mann) storyline called "This Is 40." The movie revolves around Debbie's anxiety over her 40th birthday. And it doesn't help her to see Desi (Megan Fox) undressed in a clothing store looking, well, perfect.

In the scene -- in the below trailer at 1:55-in -- a mystified Debbie asks Desi (referring to her breasts), "Are those real?" Desi replies, "Yeah. I'm just young." Then Debbie appears to go in for a feel -- you know, to verify Desi's claim, like any other self-hating middle-aged mom would do.
(Photo: AKM Images / GSI Media) Even though Fox's role appears to be small, it could be just the career boost she needs. Fox received pans from critics for playing a bossy popular girl-slash-toothy monster in the Diablo Cody horror-comedy "Jennifer's Body" in 2009. In 2010, Civil War-era fantasy film "Jonah Hex" -- in which Fox starred alongside Josh Brolin and Jon Malkovich -- bombed at the box office, earning little more than one-third of its estimated budget. And, oh yeah, there's that time Fox compared "Transformers" director Michael Bay to Hitler -- surely not a career lifter.
But being in a Judd Apatow comedy -- most of whose projects have turned into box office gold -- could mark a turnaround for the 26-year-old, now pregnant, actress. ("Knocked Up" alone has earned more than $200 million worldwide -- making nearly seven times its estimated budget of $30 million.)
Regardless of where the chips fall for Fox, her personal life is clearly on an upswing -- married to former "Beverly Hills 90210" television actor Brian Austin Green since 2010 and on the cusp of giving birth to their first child.
